The planning committee is focused on assessing the suitability of planning applications affecting the village, discussing any impact that they may have on the community of Calverton and passing their comments on to Gedling Borough Council - the local planning authority. The planning committee meetings start at 18:30.

The Environment Committee is concerned with matters pertaining to the maintenance of Parish buildings and land. These include the William Lee and James Seely parks, the Mansfield Lane cemetery and allotments around the village. Please note that the upkeep of grass verges is not the responsibility of the Parish Council, but of Nottinghamshire County Council. The planning committee meetings start at 19:00.

The Community Committee is charged with overseeing enhancements to the social infrastructure of the Village. Issues such as toilets, clubs and the use of of the Parish Council facilities fall within the remit of this committee. Community Committee meetings start at 19:45.

The Policy and Resource Committee is the overarching committee, comprised of the Chair and Vice Chair of the Council and the Chairs of the other main committees. It is responsible for the allocation of resources and the financial planning of the Council. The Policy and Resource Committee meetings start at 20:30.

The William Lee Memorial Development Committee is responsible for overseeing the future of the William Lee Memorial Park. This includes the redevelopment of facilities at the park and the creation of a new village hall.
